The brushless motors in the MAX Runner series are suitable for use as propulsion systems for boat models. These internal-rotor motors have a high rotational speed and are suitable for racing boats or as motors for sports boats and yachts.
Mounting is by means of two screws, and does not differ from the mounting of conventional motors. To avoid damage, the screws must not touch the windings in the motor. To achieve this, the screws must penetrate a maximum of 8 mm into the housing. Motor temperature must not exceed 60° C during operation. Reduce the operating voltage or the diameter/pitch of the propeller to lower the temperature. However, the maximum operating voltage must not be exceeded. The maximum power specified in the technical data should only be required for short-term operation (< 5 min).
Installation of a water cooling system is recommended. For this, use the cooling coil and silicone hose .
