The Anna

The Anna is a simple steam-powered passenger and freight boat, as used everywhere in the early 20th century.

The Anna is exactly the right kit for your introduction to steam modelling. The model is built in a minimum of time. Construction with laser-cut wooden parts and a finished ABS shell requires no prior knowledge, so you can devote yourself fully to the subject of the steam engine. Even the smallest RC system with a servo to control the rudder is sufficient for remote control operation.

The steam engine.

This single-cylinder steam engine was developed primarily as a means of propulsion for the Anna steamboat. With its compact design, this steam engine is a real eye-catcher and a technical highlight for a small steamer. Of course, the engine is also suitable for other boat models with a length of around 50 cm or a weight of 1-2 kg.

The steam engine is delivered fully pre-assembled and welded. The boiler is ready for installation, pressure-tested and painted. The steam pipe is already installed. Operation has been deliberately kept very simple. Fill the boiler with water, heat it up and start the machine on the flywheel. Use the small handwheel to adjust the amount of steam, and off you go. Esbit tablets are used as fuel.
