Joe Michelini designed the Airmarine Special himself, and led it to first place in the "APBA Class F" category in 1958. More than 25 years of experience in nautical construction allowed him to develop a special hull thanks to which the Airmarine Special was a speed boat, very stable, reaching a speed of 110km/h.
We made the model of this superb racing boat in scale 1: 5.2. The boat is built entirely of mahogany and pine plywood. The cockpit and the fin are wrapped to the Oratex, which is also included in the kit. The boat is built with the proven method of depron gauge; precision pre-cut parts ensure that the model will be built easily and accurately.
The Aero-Naut Airmarine Special is powered by an outboard engine that is available separately (see "Accessories" on this page).
