The T2M Pirate Buster is the perfect buggy to get started in RC driving: it comes complete and ready to run, with a 2.4 GHz transmitter, a 7.4 V 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery and a USB charger that works with any wall adapter, computer or power bank. All you need to add is 2 AA batteries for the transmitter.
Its standout feature is a 6-LED lighting kit (2 front headlights and 4 roof spotlights), powered straight from the main battery. It gives the Buster a rugged off-road look and keeps the fun going as daylight fades.
Under the body, the mechanics are surprisingly serious for an entry-level model: fully ball-bearing 4WD drivetrain, two gear differentials, aluminium centre driveshaft and CVD driveshafts up front. The independent double-wishbone suspension and oil-filled shocks soak up bumps, while the Allroad tyres grip on grass, gravel and tarmac alike.
The 390-size motor with heatsink pushes the Buster to around 35 km/h – fast enough for plenty of fun, yet easy to control. The ESC and steering servo are splash-proof, and mini front and rear bumpers protect the chassis from knocks.
The polycarbonate body comes painted and decorated in orange.
