AMATI 1700/10

The real sailboat:

The Endeavour is a J Class yacht with the number J K 4.
She was built in 1934 by Camper & Nicholsons to a design by Charles Ernest Nicholson for Thomas Sopwith, founder of the Sopwith Aviation Company, who intended her to be a challenger for the America's Cup.
By winning the first two races, the Endeavour had put a serious mortgage on the Cup. The third race was the most exciting. Unfortunately, fate didn't allow skipper Sir Thomas Sopwith to postpone the 1934 America's Cup. Opponent Rainbow crossed the finish line a handful of seconds ahead (source wikipedia and Amati).
