With its fittings, noble woods, sewn sails and laser-cut birch plywood parts, this kit will take you back to the voyages to the Orient during the 19th century aboard the fastest sailing ship of the time!

Built in 1869 in Dumbarton (Scotland), the Cutty Sark took part for 8 seasons in the tea race to link China with London in the shortest possible time. Following the opening of the Suez Canal and the rise of steam-powered ships, the Cutty Sark transported wool between Australia and England, further extending her legend as an elegant and extremely fast ship. Later, she was used to transport goods between Porto, Rio de Janeiro, New Orleans, Lisbon and various Portuguese colonies.

In 1954, she was finally saved and put on display in London as a museum ship.
