Assemble this marvellous kit model of the London streetcar L.C.C 106 step by step. It will enable you to spend long and enjoyable moments of creative leisure by building a faithful replica of the original London tramway with all its details.
This tramway was built in April 1903 by the Electric Railway and Tramway Carriage Works and was one of 100 class "B" vehicles ordered by the London County Council.
It was used as a passenger vehicle under number 106 until 1925, when it was converted into a snowplow under number 022. In 1983, the 106 was taken to the National Tramway Museum in Crich (Derbyshire), where it remains today, having covered over 10,000 miles in passenger service.
It originally had two Dick Kerr type DK25A 25 hp engines, which were replaced in 1927 by Westinghouse type 220 42 hp engines. The vehicle is equipped with hand brakes on the wheels and a dynamic brake acting on the motors. Magnetic brakes were installed in 1980.
Let yourself be carried back in time to the days when this wonderful tramway ran through the streets of London.
The model is made of wood and metal parts.
