The real ship.
The "Belle Poule" was built between 1828 and 1934. She was a 60-gun first rank frigate of the French navy and the third to bear this name. Frigates like the "Belle Poule" were known for their speed and maneuverability, making them ideal for a variety of tasks, including tracking and attacking enemy vessels, as well as exploration and patrol missions. Her hull was 54m long and displaced 1500 tons. She is best known as the ship on which the remains of Napoleon I were repatriated from the island of St. Helena in 1840.
The model.
The OCCRE model is at 1/90 scale and has an overall length of 1085mm.
