The Folkeboot is a simple, yet highly seaworthy sailboat, especially built for the Baltic Sea. It can accommodate a crew of two to four people, and is equally suited to cruising and sports regattas. The Folkeboot is a long-keel, Bermuda-rigged boat. It features the S-shape typical of wooden yachts and a flat stern with attached rudder.

The classic Folkeboot hull is made of wood with clapboard planking. This construction method has also been chosen for the model to retain the charm of this magnificent Nordic wooden construction. As a result, the ribs and the entire clapboard are precision laser-cut. The high-quality plywood can be stained to the desired wood color, then varnished. Folkeboot are built from a wide variety of local woods. Assembly requires precise work, but is not difficult thanks to the high degree of prefabrication. As with the large RC model, the roof of the superstructure is removable, allowing a view of the magnificent construction of hull.

The kit for this 1/15 model is designed for static display. However, a modeller with a little experience could make it seaworthy. As with the 1/7.6 model, in addition to all the laser-cut wooden parts, the box contains all the fittings, as well as the pre-engraved deck. The sails are already pre-cut.
