The Endeavour yacht was designed and built in 1934 specifically to compete in the America's Cup, the world's most prestigious nautical trophy. Its owner, the renowned British industrialist Sir Thomas Sopwith, relied on innovation and excellence to lift the UK to the top of international sailing.
The Endeavour stood out for its elegant design, advanced technology for its time and excellent racing performance. Despite being one of the big favorites, the Endeavour yacht competed in one of the most exciting finals of the America's Cup, coming close to victory over the American defender Rainbow.
