Discover the Marina II fishing boat, a wooden model of a tuna boat from the Cantabrian Coast and Bay of Biscay. Used during the summer months to fish for albacore tuna, a fish very characteristic of these European coasts, this type of tuna boat heads for other seas such as the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alborán Sea (in the Mediterranean), always in pursuit of the best tuna and similar species.
The fishing method is fairly traditional, based on a bottom line and live bait. The bait is caught and kept alive in on-board tanks.

Build this renewed version of the Marina II kit (renewed in 2025), a 1:50 scale model of a typical tuna boat from Northern Spain and the Bay of Biscay. The model features an assembly system with a dummy keel and couples, similar to the construction of the real boat.
The kit box contains all the parts needed to build the model: high-precision laser-cut board parts, fully numbered and with measurements for quick identification, new photoetched parts for details, new stickers with the names and license plates of Santander, San Sebastian and Bayonne. This is a faithful replica with many details that will dazzle the modellers who build it. What's more, a wooden cradle is now included to display the model once assembled.
