Discover the Jolie Brise, a 1/50 scale wooden model of this famous French cutter. After a short career as a pilot boat, she was used as a fishing boat as pilot boats switched to steam power.

The "Jolie Brise" cutter could sail at speeds of 9-10 knots. She became a legendary racing cutter in the hands of English owners, winning the first Fastnet race in 1925, and again in 1930, among many other races.

She became famous when she saved the crew of the Adriana in the 1932 Bermuda Ocean Race, which caught fire and was lost during the race, before being withdrawn from service.

Today, Jolie Brise is still used by Dauntsey's School Sailing Club in England.
