Aqua-Race Classic Outboard Motor (one control bracket broken)

Aero-Naut 700502

One of the two steering control arms on this motor is broken.

Description of the defect

The outboard motor unit normally has two brackets used to mount the steering linkage. On this model, one of the brackets is broken, which explains why it is being offered at a discounted price. See photos.

Engine description

Outboard motor in the style of the 1930s to 1950s for classic boats such as the Spitfire and other models up to approximately 80 cm in length.
The unit is mounted to the boat’s transom with four screws and allows for 7 mm of height adjustment; the thrust angle can be adjusted by +/-5°.
The electric motor is mounted in a visible position at the front of the fuel tank; power is transmitted via a flexible shaft.

The kit does not include the motor or propeller but does include an adapter for shafts with diameters of Ø3.17 / Ø4 mm.

  • Maximum rotational speed: 26,000 rpm
  • Width: 54 mm
  • Height: 157 mm
  • Motor mounting center distances: 16 mm and 19 mm
  • Drive via Teflon-sheathed flexible shaft
  • Propeller attachment via M4 thread
  • Propeller rotation direction in forward mode: counterclockwise
  • Maximum propeller diameter: Ø39 mm

The markings on the tank may vary depending on the batch.

Some photos show the outboard motor equipped with a brushless motor as an example ( not included motor).

Important note!

The flexible shaft must be greased before use! Do not run the motor dry.

To operate, the motor must always be submerged in water; otherwise, the flexible shaft must be greased at the attachment point of the sintered bearing before use. Running the motor dry can damage the bearing.
