THOR 4 HFcontrol module poti with automatic cut-out
Manufacturer CTI
Suitable for 1st generation CTI, titan and titan sx cylinders
The THOR 4 HF POTI is a ESC current meter, designed to control electric cylinders, or other functions requiring the use of end-of-movement stops. With ESC, no limit switch is required.
The THOR 4 HF POTI monitors current consumption during motor operation by means of an adjustable measuring resistor.
If the current exceeds the maximum current set on the potentiometer, the software stops the motor and indicates this with a red LED.
This protects the mechanics, motor and electronics in the event of an overload or stall.
The motor can then only be restarted after the user has switched the motor off or the other way around.
The current limit is continuously adapted to the motor speed.
This means that PWM current peaks can be significantly higher at low speed than at full speed.
The THOR4HF Poti controller is also equipped with an electromagnetic neutral brake to ensure that motors are stopped under load.
Another special feature of the controller is its high switching frequency (18KHz), making regulation highly sensitive and motor whistling virtually imperceptible.
Connection :
- Connect the red wire to the battery "plus" and the black wire to the battery "minus"
- Connect yellow and blue motor wires
- Connect three-wire cord (orange/red/brown) to receiver
Preferably, disconnect the red wire connecting the module to the receiver.
Power supply :
From 7.2 to 14.4 Volts - Lipo 2-3S (7.4 - 11.1v) or Nimh 6 to 10 cells (7.2 to 12v)
BEC system :
The THOR 4 HF POTI features a BEC power supply for the receiver (5v output). However, it must not be used to power servomotors, as this could affect the module's current measurement. In this case, disconnect the red wire connecting the module to the receiver.
