We offer this radio in two configurations:

• The standard FrSky configuration as supplied from the factory (in English, with notched stick, no special configuration)
• Our special TecniModel configuration : the system is updated, configured in French (by default) with French sounds loaded. It is tested and comes with pre-configured model memories for different types of models:
  • Crane Truck: Pre-configured memory for a truck fitted with a hydraulic crane.
  • Bateau2motG: Memory for a model boat with two separately controlled propellers (engine control via the left stick).
  • Bateau2motD: Memory for a model boat with two separately controlled propellers (engine control via the right stick).
  • ModeleBateauG: Memory for a simple model boat (engine control via the left stick).
  • MFC-01 and MFC-03: Memory for a truck fitted with a Tamiya MFC-01 or MFC-03 multifunction module.
  • PelleteuseV1_SMB: Preset memory for an RC excavator fitted with an aero-type ESC or brushless controller (zero position at -100%), such as the YGE brushless controllers supplied with Leimbach hydraulics, and incorporating the mixes required to operate a Servonaut SMB sound module.
  • ExcavatorV2_SMB: Preset memory for an RC excavator fitted with a car-type ESC or brushless controller (zero position to 0%) and incorporating the mixes required to operate a Servonaut SMB sound module.

Introducing the FrSky Tandem XE transmitter

Building on the TANDEM series of transmitters, which use both 900MHz and 2.4GHz dual-band technologies simultaneously, FrSky has released the highly awaited TANDEM XE radio. The XE is the largest radio in the TANDEM series, developed to meet the needs of users who appreciate tray radios, combined with flexibility and a large number of switch inputs. Its stunning design and high-quality build make it an obvious upgrade for fans of the original TARANIS X9E!

This transmitter is particularly well-suited to owners of construction machinery or vehicles with crane thanks to its "3D" sticks.

DUAL-SCREEN COLOUR DESIGN

The TANDEM XE features a dual-screen design; the main screen is a 4.3-inch colour touchscreen used to operate the ETHOS system, such as configuring models. A second, smaller 2.4-inch colour screen is positioned on top of the radio to meet the needs of users who wish to have additional information displayed separately. The content displayed on the supplementary screen can be configured and customised by the user (via a Lua script, for example) within the system.

MODULAR DESIGN AND FLEXIBILITY

The TANDEM XE transmitter has been designed with flexibility in mind. Not only does it feature several free slots for additional switches to meet more demanding requirements, but it also features switch modules that can be replaced with alternative modules offering more input slots.
Additional design features have been included to meet the needs of wider RC user communities. For example, forward and reverse movement of RC tracked vehicle can be controlled by replacing the side-lever potentiometers with their optional self-centring counterparts. Similarly, the use of "3D" controls mounted on the sticks offers numerous possibilities when used on ground or naval vehicles.
The XE features retractable aluminium support arms for attaching the harness, which can be easily folded into the base of the radio.

BUILT-IN STORAGE AND BATTERY EXTENSION

To save the user from having to decide on storage capacity, the TANDEM XE is equipped with an 8GB built-in flash memory, offering ample file storage to meet all your radio’s needs, as well as high data transfer speeds. This memory can be expanded via the on-board Micro SD card reader.
And for users looking for greater battery capacity than the included 2S 4000mAh LiPo battery, the XE features a large battery bay that can accommodate larger battery packs if required.
