The Fifie is a type of fishing boat developed on the east coast of Scotland. It was used by Scottish fishermen from the 1850s until the 20th century, when many of these boats were fitted with engines.
These boats were designed for herring fishing and therefore equipped with drift nets, hence the nickname "herring boat".
Classic wooden construction kit, planked on couples.
Kit includes :

This model, originally intended to be static, can be transformed into a radio-controlled sailing boat (equipment to be supplied separately).
