T2M’s Pirate Shooter is a complete 4WD buggy, designed to get you into off-road RC without any extra purchases: the 2.4 GHz radio, 7.2 V battery and charger are all included. All you need are 4 AA batteries for the transmitter.
Its full-time 4WD drivetrain, running on ball bearings with front and rear bevel-gear differentials, makes the most of the 550-size motor for a top speed of around 45 km/h. The waterproof electronic speed controller handles forward, reverse and brake, and accepts either a 2S Li-Po or a 5–9 cell Ni-MH pack – leaving room for more performance later on.
Independent suspension, big-bore oil-filled shocks and Hi-Grip Mini-Block tyres keep it stable on bumpy tracks. The Pirate Shooter is easy to set up: wheelbase (335 or 338 mm), shock position and preload, front toe, camber and wing angle are all adjustable. An ideal buggy for beginners learning the art of setup.
The low-profile polycarbonate body comes painted and decorated, here in green.
