Assemble this magnificent Lisbon tramway model kit step by step. It will provide you with long and wonderful moments of creative leisure, as you recreate a faithful replica of the original tramway with all the railway details. This tramway was originally part of the 701/735 series built by the Lisbon Tramway Company between 1936 and 1940.

These streetcars were considered the safest in Lisbon, as they were equipped with a reinforced braking system. They ran on the most difficult lines, such as lines 12, 25 and 28, with gradients of up to 12%, and were also the most powerful single-grip tramways in the world.

It is equipped with five types of brake: pneumatic, mechanical, electric, electromagnetic with shoes and mechanical with shoes.

It is powered by two powerful Metropolitan Vickers electric motors, each rated at 45 HP, and a Brill 21-E bogie built by Maley & Tauton.

Its bodywork is of the standard Lisbon type, derived from the American Brill models, its most striking feature being its highly domed roof.

It remained in its original state until the series was renovated between 1985 and 1987, when, in order to adapt it to a single agent (driver/controller), pneumatic doors and indicators were installed and the doors on one side were closed.

From 1995 onwards, they began to be withdrawn and replaced by the redesigned 500 series streetcars, with several units kept in service for charter services and occasional reinforcements in regular service.
