Pulley and belt transmission system (3:1)
Krick 42131
The belt transmission is used, for example, in the Titanic of Mantua to achieve the friction connection between the electric motor and the stern shaft.
Belt drive has several advantages:
- The gearbox reduces the speed of the propeller and improves efficiency. 3:1 discount rate.
- The shaft system can be placed deeper and more compactly in the hull than with a direct drive.
- The operating noise is lower than with gear reductions.
- In case of locking of the propeller, the rubber ring acts as a slip clutch.
Content:
- 2 grooved pulleys
- 1 round rubber belt
- 2 screws HC M4
Characteristics:
- Pulley for the motor shaft:
- Outer diameter pulley: 10mm
- Diameter of the motor axis: 3mm
- Total length: 20mm
- Pulley for the propeller shaft:
- Outer diameter pulley: 30mm
- Propeller shaft diameter: 4mm
- Total length: 20mm
- 3:1 reduction ratio
- The appropriate distance between the engine shaft and the propeller shaft is approximately 85 mm.
