Christoph von Mayenburg's world-record-holding "Mathea VII" has been redesigned using modern, contemporary construction techniques. The model is built entirely of wood. For this purpose, a frame structure was developed, similar to that already used for other Aero-Naut boats. Construction takes place on the famous Aero-Naut slipway, on which hull is built upside down. All wooden parts are precision laser-cut and engraved. This ensures rapid construction. The cockpit structure and engine cowling are completely removable, allowing easy access to the engine and RC system. Unlike the original, the deck is made of mahogany. Modellers can choose between a precious wood look and a paint finish faithful to the original, with or without covering the mahogany parts. The cockpit curves are layered and sanded to the desired shape. The engine hood is lined with A-Tex. The cockpit can accommodate figures in 1:6 scale. The seat is padded and covered with the synthetic leather supplied. Assembly instructions, in the well-known Aero-Naut style, guide the user through all stages of model construction, with the aid of 3D drawings.
